Anxiety refers to a feeling or a sensation that everything is quite unsettled. It may present itself in the form of worry about a looming event or circumstances. According to the scripture, the state of being anxious can be as a result of different causes and reasons. Matthew 6:31-34 provides another source of fear. It is evident that inability to be aware of what to eat or drink the next day can be troubling. Moreover, one may also be worried about what to dress and the place to stay in.

In Luke 22:22-23, Jesus tells His disciples not to be worried about anything. He uses the example of the ravens which never sow or reap anything. They neither have any storehouse or barn but the Lord God always provides for them. Finally, He asks His disciples if any of them can add any hour to his life by being anxious. This means that people should not be worried of anything but should always believe in God as the provider.

Prophet Isaiah was also anxious about the state of his people. As a result, in Isaiah 41:10 God encouraged him to be strong and not to fear anything. God vowed to be with him always and never to forsake him. This symbolizes that delivery from this condition of anxiety cannot be obtained by only the power of mankind but also by the divine power from above.
In Deuteronomy 31:6, Almighty Father told His people to remain strong and courageous. He did this because they had enemies around them. So, they became worried about their security. For that reason, Jehovah promised to be always with them and always lead them. This is because He wanted to deliver them from anxiety and make them comfortable.

The Gospel of John 14:1 onwards also gives more information about fretfulness. In this case, the disciples of Jesus are worried because He would leave them soon. Therefore, Jesus encourages them not to let their hearts be disturbed because he would be going to prepare a place for them in heaven. Furthermore, he promises them that there are many rooms in heaven for them all.

Philippians 4:6-7 states that Christians should not be anxious of anything. However, they should always present all their requests to God through prayers and thanksgiving. This leads to restoration of the peace of God in their hearts and minds. Therefore, bible verses anxiety offer solution to all forms of fear.
